Cost and Scholarship Information

For the 2010 UC-Davis Boot Camp, there will be a registration fee of $400, which will cover the cost of materials, lunches, snacks, and transportation between the hotel and the Center for Mind & Brain. Participants will be housed at a local hotel at a cost of approximately $100 per night (including taxes). Travel costs will, of course, depend on where you are coming from.

Davis is located approximately 15 miles (24 km) west of Sacramento, and it is usually best to fly into the Sacramento airport (SMF). A shuttle bus can transport you between Davis and the Sacramento airport. The Oakland and San Francisco airports are about 80 miles (130 km) away, and it is possible to reach Davis by train from these airports. There is also a shuttle bus between Davis and the San Francisco airport.

Our NIMH funding allows us to provide scholarships for U.S. Citizens and Permanent Residents that will cover most or all of the costs. All U.S. Citizens and Permanent Residents will automatically receive scholarships. We may be able to provide scholarships for some of our international participants. However, this is not guaranteed, and international participants may need to obtain funding from their labs, institutions, or local funding agencies.
